「朝目覚めると腰が痛い。」そんな悩みを長年抱えてきました。そろそろ何とかしなくては・・・・今回は私自身が発注者です。わがままな発注者の依頼を受けて、全くのオリジナルの寝椅子をゼロから開発しました。

長年の試行錯誤でたどり着いた結論は、平らな所に寝るのはダメだということでした。

私の身近にあったソファーに寝てみたらいい具合です、脚を支えるためにスツールを並べて置いて、アンコに布を挟んでみて、何カ月も寝てみては改良し、最後にはこんな形になりました。試行錯誤の間に季節は変わり、冬用にシュラフも買って、実際に毎晩寝てみて翌朝検証してきた日々が、これでやっと終わりです。

その形を写し取った型紙を作ります。苦労して集めた私の体に最適な形が型紙になりました。

この形を参考にスケッチを描きます。細部の構造を考え材料どりの都合も考慮して、スケッチができました。

材料は厚さ910×1820×15mmのランバーコアです。原寸の型紙をのせて原寸で形を決めていきます。
The material is a 910 x 1820 x 15 mm lumbar core. Place the actual size paper pattern and decide the shape according to the actual size.
パーツごとに原寸の型紙を作っていきす、これは座面です。左右対称のパーツはセンターラインを境にして半分だけ作ります。実はこの形は大好きなマーチンギターのドレツトノートを意識しています。

材料にラインを写します。
Copy the line to the material.
カーブさせるための溝の配置も同時に描いておきます。
At the same time, draw the arrangement of the groove for curving.
他のパーツも同様に書き写します。
Copy other parts in the same way.



ジグソーでパーツを切り出します。
Cut out the parts with a jigsaw.
丸鋸で溝を切ります。
Cut a groove with a circular saw.
溝は表面まで1mmほど残して堀り、切り離してしまわないようにします。丸鋸の刃の出方を調整しています。
Leave a groove of about 1 mm to the surface and dig it so that it will not be separated. The way the circular saw blade comes out is adjusted.
背もたれ部分は、S字型にカーブさせるので、こんな風に溝は表と裏両方から掘ることになります。
Since the backrest part is curved in an S shape, the groove will be dug from both the front and back like this.
脚をのせる面も同様にして切り出します。
Cut out the surface on which the legs will be placed in the same way.
小口を整え
Arrange the edges
溝を掘ります。
Dig a ditch.
ここはCの字形に曲げるので片側からだけ掘ります。
Since this is bent toward C, dig only from one side.
脚を載せる部分は可動式にしますので、原寸型をピンで留めて、動かしてみて他の部分との干渉を避けるように細部の形状を決めます。
Since the part on which the legs are placed is movable, pin the actual size type and try moving it to determine the shape of the details so as to avoid interference with other parts.
脚も収納します。いい感じです。
Also stores the legs. feel well.
